Why you should not listen to Pop music but Metal instead

If you’re tired of the repetitive beats and generic lyrics of pop music, it’s time to give metal a try. Not only is metal more complex and varied in its composition, but it also has the added bonus of being incredibly intimidating to your parents and neighbors.

Here are just a few reasons why you should ditch the pop and start headbanging to metal:

  1. Pop music is just noise pollution. Have you ever tried to have a deep, meaningful conversation with someone while a Taylor Swift song is playing in the background? It’s nearly impossible. On the other hand, metal music is so loud and aggressive, it drowns out any distractions and allows you to fully focus on whatever you’re doing.
  2. Pop music is for conformists. Everyone knows that if you want to be cool, you have to listen to the same music as everyone else. But metal is for true rebels. When you listen to metal, you’re making a statement that you’re not afraid to be different and that you march to the beat of your own (double-bass) drum.
  3. Pop music is just plain boring. Sure, it may be catchy at first, but after the hundredth time you hear the same chorus, you’ll be begging for something new and exciting. Metal, on the other hand, is always changing and evolving. From the frenetic pace of thrash metal to the dark melodies of doom metal, there’s a metal subgenre for every mood and situation.

So why not give metal a chance? Your ears (and your parents) will thank you. Plus, you’ll finally have something to talk about with that cute metalhead in your biology class.
